The border area on the Hasenberg

The Perler Hasenberg is one of the most sought-after vineyards in the entire region. It was not without reason that the then King of Prussia, Friedrich Wilhelm Il, reported. at the Congress of Vienna in 1815, in the context of territorial distributions, claims to the wine-growing location. He wanted to know that this good location with its first-class wine belonged to his area. Today's somewhat unusual, "square" borderline is due to this wish. As part of the Congress of Vienna, Luxembourg nominally became an independent Grand Duchy, which under the kings of the House of Nassau-Orange is linked in personal union with the Kingdom of the Netherlands. A symbol for the region and its history

The large sandstone with its triangular foundation stands as a symbol for the triangle. The three country codes D-F-L are lovingly incorporated into the foundation. The location at the "Dreiländerblick" lookout point was chosen accordingly. Sculpture and location are to be seen as a total work of art. Claudio Raffaele's sculpture takes up the motif of the wine-growing square on the Hasenberg in its design. If you take a look from above into the stainless steel construction, the interior is reminiscent of the branches of a grapevine. The square basic shape corresponds to the strange borderline on Perler Hasenberag. In addition to the symbolic representation of the border triangle and viticulture, the materials used have also been deliberately chosen. The sandstone as a weather-resistant element symbolizes the culture of the region, which has grown together over centuries, completely independent of the respective boundary lines and claims to rule in the individual epochs. The embodiment of viticulture was also deliberately made using high-quality stainless steel. The Perler wines are valued by wine connoisseurs as quality wines of a special kind.
