The ridge walk is easy and can also be done with children. There are a few places that are more exposed, but they are mostly secured with chains and railings. The view is simply fantastic.

On this ridge hiking trail, with good visibility, you have a breathtaking view of the central Swiss mountains and lakes. You can also see the diverse alpine flora. You can see it at its most beautiful side at the end of June and July. If you're lucky, you can see wild hay making on the extremely steep slopes towards autumn.

We started in Stoos towards Fronalpstock...since it was warm and sunny that day, we wanted to end our tour at the hut.

If you do the tour in the other direction...you should definitely take plenty of water with you, as there are no shops or similar on the way. The tour is one of my favorite tours...the view of Lake Lucerne is a dream.

Great tightrope walk with a magnificent mountain panorama. The way is not too exhausting and in the end there is a good restaurant waiting. If possible, you should go during the week as otherwise it has a lot of people which is sometimes annoying.

Overflowing on the weekend, the ridge path is very easy to walk on. Many steps and chains make walking safe. I hiked from Fronalpstock towards Klingenstock and ran against the stream. It seemed to me that most people would do it the other way around. It remains the same effort, from both directions it goes first downhill and then steeply uphill again. However, the paths are wide enough to get past each other. If it gets too much with the crowds at any time between Fronalpstock and Klingenstock on foot back to Stoos, but the way goes downhill steeply and goes so powerful in the legs.

For those who are afraid of a “tightrope hike” or who are traveling with small children or very elderly people, a “mini circular hike” around the Fronalpstock is also worthwhile. There is a large children's playground right next to the mountain station, older people can also eat in the restaurant with a large terrace, and hiking fans can use the time for a short, around 45-minute "walk". The panorama remains equally spectacular!

Both the blade and the Fronalpstock can be reached on foot or by cable car. The ascent and descent are not very special, but the ridge path is well worth it, because you have almost all the time a great view of Lake Lucerne and the mountain panorama.

Definitely the highlight of our hike from Stoos to the Klingenstock and then a tightrope walk to the Fronalpstock. It goes up and down and besides you have the most beautiful panorama.
