As soon as you enter the rose garden, you can sense the dedication and care with which this piece of land was designed. Elegant water fountains dance in the center of the water lily pond, lending the garden a special freshness and vibrancy. The gentle rippling of the water forms the perfect counterpoint to the quiet splendor of the roses, which bloom in every imaginable color and shape.

Founded as a special garden in the 1960s, this garden breathes history. Treptower Park itself, designed in a landscape style by the city's garden director G. Meyer from 1876 to 1789, served as the magnificent backdrop for the creation of this rose garden. After extensive renovations completed in 2012, it now shines in its former beauty – thanks to an investment of around 2.2 million euros.

It's not just the diversity of the over 100 rose varieties that impresses, but above all the thoughtful composition: from soft pastel shades to bold, vibrant colors. Particular emphasis was placed on selecting robust and healthy varieties that can withstand Berlin's weather conditions. Thanks to Prof. Matthes' planting plan, the original color harmony that gives the garden its special character has been preserved.

The garden is a special garden from the 1960s and is part of Treptower Park, which was laid out in a landscape style between 1876 and 1789 according to plans by the municipal garden director G. Meyer.
