The castle used as a hotel and the outbuildings are mainly used by a training academy. However, it is also available for celebrations and events, it is also a branch of the registry office in Stendal.
Beautiful terrace on the Elbe side with a view of the Elbe, a beautiful park closes in the direction of the town center.
The hotel is often used as accommodation by cyclists on the Elbe Cycle Path that runs directly past.

The castle, built in 1912 next to the estate in neoclassical style, was used to train leaders of the Reich Labor Service from the late 1930s. After 1945 it was primarily the hospital and nursing school, for which new buildings were erected. Today, the four-star Hotel Schloss Storkau, which opened in 1995, is primarily used as a training academy for the administrative trade association (VBG).

The castle was built in 1912 by the cavalry captain Freiherr von Guaita for himself and his family, whereby the builder valued baroque models. Nevertheless, it cannot hide the forms of historicism.
The house is a three-wing complex of impressive size, balanced symmetry and elegant facade design. The house itself is a two-storey plastered building with a mansard roof. The cast-iron balcony in front of the central window on the upper floor is striking on the park side.
The magnificent coat of arms and the sculptures are beautiful to look at. The house forms a harmonious unit with the line of sight of the park.
Facing the Elbe, a large terrace supporting the balcony dominates the architecture.
As on the front of the castle, value was also placed on a balanced window design on the back.
