Beautiful and photogenic castle, with ruins and a castle garden. You can enjoy a cup of coffee and Montforter flan on the terrace. Check the website in advance for the opening times.

The castle, built in 1260, was considered impregnable in the days of the bow and arrow. The building material came from the French Ardennes via the Meuse. One of the towers, the hunting lodge, was recently restored and is now a visitor centre about the castle and its surroundings. Next to the castle is the Voorhof, the former castle farm from 1754.

You can visit and view the castle. Much has been rebuilt and excavated. This makes the layout clearly visible again
