    First summit of the classic Arnspitz crossing. The western ascent ends with a short climbing part ca (UIAA II), which is secured by a wire rope.
    (However, if you are planning to cross the Arnspitzten and get weak knees on the ascent of the Arnspitzenplatte, you should turn back at this point and wait for a better trained point in time)

      The crossing to the Great Arnspitze is now a marked "hiking trail". It had already been entered in the Openstreetmaps since 2021, but now you can go from west to east or vice versa without GPS. This reduces the difficulty from T5+ to T3+. Hopefully the climbing spots will remain the same until UIAA II and it won't be a via ferrata in the end :D

            The ascent to the Arnplattenspitze is a light Velcro (UIAA II rated) and certainly not that big a problem for most sure-footed climbers. However, one should bear in mind that it is exactly the same way downhill and the just easy scrambling could suddenly become very demanding for one or the other. Therefore, I can only recommend the summit even to experienced alpinists. If you are not sure, it is better to stand below the climbing point and enjoy the view from there.
