Strongly bubbling spring that also submerges the surrounding area somewhat.
There is a small seating area right by the water: one of the rest benches is new, but the second rest bench and the table are completely dilapidated (as of April 2022).

From the PWV-Ritterstein at the top of the path, there were still 140 steps to walk downhill to the enclosed alder fountain. The source is indicated by a stone as the source of salvation. The spring water is collected in a small well. The well used to serve as a cattle trough. At the spring there are benches for a rest.

Really nice here...but the blue PVC outlet pipe takes a lot of getting used to for my eyes. A stainless steel pipe would have been more appropriate for this environment.
