The ruin of Wensburg, also called Wensberg Castle, is a castle ruin in the Lier Valley. The spur castle is hidden in the forest on a hilltop southwest of Lind in the Rhineland-Palatinate district of Ahrweiler and was once the center of the reign of the same name.
Probably built at the end of the 13th or at the beginning of the 14th century, the system changed from the von Gymnich family to that of Helfenstein to that of Orsbeck. After a large part of the building structure had been demolished in 1832, the owner Louise Scheib undertook repair and remodeling work at the beginning of the 20th century, the results of which still shape the remains of the freely accessible ruins.
