Between 1720 - 1745 the equipment of the Kreuzberg church was completely baroque. The church may call itself a Frankish jewel on the Way of St. James. Unfortunately, it is usually closed for safety reasons and because of the seclusion, so that the Jakobspilger unfortunately can not visit the beautiful church. However, the pilgrim temple is located in a niche next to the main entrance. On the outer walls of the pilgrimage church there are fifteen niches for the 14 Stations of the Cross and, as a special feature, a 15th station depicting the finding of the Cross by Empress Helena.

The Kreuzberg near Hallerndorf is not only a popular excursion destination because of the pilgrimage church to the Holy Cross, but above all because of the three beer cellars that are there. Civic prices and tasty beers under shady trees are the guarantee for a successful stop after each hike.
