The two farms of Kjeåsen Hof are located high above the fjord, 600 meters above sea level. The courtyard was incredibly difficult to access. At times 13 children lived on the farm. They went to school in the Simadal valley. In summer the children went to school and back every day, but in winter the walk was too dangerous. Then they lived with relatives in the valley. It was not until the 1930s that a motorized transport cable car was built with which the loads could be transported up and down more easily.

Beautiful but very demanding hike or climbing tour. It is definitely not suitable for everyone and I would not recommend it for children under the age of 8. If you like adventure with climbing, it is something and the view from the top is awesome.

Beautiful and adventurous hike, but a little further and higher than stated here. Instead of 350 meters in altitude, you reach 550 here.
