The Leofelser Klinge is a typical, sharp-cut small ravine, as can be found in Hohenlohe and other landscapes of the Keuper rock layers. The stream only carries water from time to time, but then it can be torrential, as the structures in the lower part show.
A steep, shady footpath leads up to Leofels. In the upper part the path branches off to the left to the Leofels castle ruins and leads briefly through the limestone cliffs.

If you want you can hike through here. We decided against it today, however, as the autumn weather makes the stony path through the blade very slippery. The official hiking trail runs parallel to the blade.
