An inconspicuous path branches off from the forest path to the wind hole. The path leads to the entrance of the wind hole, flanked by two pillars.

The cave can be visited. You descend steeply, and on the left hand side the ice chamber opens up with beautiful sintering. Straight ahead you reach the enormous La Tène hall, which is bathed in mystical light through the ceiling window, the actual "wind hole". Beyond the wind hole there is a smaller hall. WARNING: You should not go any further, as it goes steeply down into a shaft and deeper parts of the cave! (Source: Book - Forgotten Paths - Franconian Switzerland)

The cave is about 40 m off the path. The trail leading there is difficult to see during the growing season.
You should definitely go into the spacious cave, Ole has described it beautifully.

"Windloch" cave with finds from the Urnfield, Hallstatt and La Tène periods as well as human skeletal remains.
