The Mauthausen concentration camp memorial is an important and moving memorial. An exhibition inside provides information about the terrible events that happened during World War II. Monuments and sculptures can be seen outside. The quarry, the barracks and the barbed wire fences are a reminder that such atrocities must never be repeated.

You get goosebumps when you're here. The building looks like a foreign body in this scenically beautiful and idyllic area. It's surreal to stand in front of it and imagine the atrocities and crimes committed here. In memory of the many victims, the history of the concentration camp is brought closer to the visitors.
