The Köhlerberg rises in the Eastern Hintertaunus and in the Taunus Nature Park. Its summit is 2.2 km north of the Waldsolmser Ortsteil Griedelbach, 1.3 km south-southeast of Oberwetz and 3 km east of Oberquembach, two districts of Schöffengrund; All three districts belong to the Lahn-Dill-Kreis.
