The water tower of the lifting bridge Magdeburg is a listed accumulator tower of the lifting bridge Magdeburg on the west bank of the Elbe in Magdeburg.

The tower was built in the 1890s in Gothic style of yellow brickwork with dark bands also made of clinker. The three-storey tower is crowned by a far-reaching, pyramid-shaped pointed helmet. There are slotted windows on the sides. On the southern side is a small operating house in front.

The building was part of the hydraulic drive of the lifting bridge Magdeburg, which spans the Elbe a few meters further east. The midfield of this railway bridge was movable and was temporarily raised at higher water levels. The water required for the existing hydraulic drive was kept ready in this pressurized water accumulator with about 50 to 70 at.
The water tower is a testimony to the typical form of drive for the period from 1880 to 1900 and is one of the rarely received functional buildings of this early drive technology. In terms of urban planning, the tower is of particular importance in connection with the bridge, which was rebuilt in 1934, and the railway stations, which are still partially preserved.
