Located on a promontory that dominates the passage of the Lérez through the bridge, a small section of the old wall that is still preserved can be seen. Built by the Seafaring Guild in the first half of the s. XVI. Late gothic style. Basilica plan with three naves divided by eight columns. A ribbed vault. Its western doorway (1541) emulates a stone altarpiece in the Plateresque style, attributed to Cornelius of Holland and Juan Noble. Divided into three streets that demonstrate the triple interior division and the different height of the naves. Curious representation of an image of Saint Jerome with glasses on the facade.

Inside, Gothic, Elizabethan and Renaissance styles are mixed with the Churrigueresque of its notable altarpieces. The altarpiece of the main altar, made by Maximino Magariños in chestnut and walnut wood. The chapels of Bon Xesus, of the Conception and, particularly, that of the Holy Body stand out.
