Foroglio is here called representative of the many small villages and farms that line the trail in Val Bavona. Nowadays they all look very picturesque in the wildly romantic and impressive mountain framing. Many houses have been converted into chalets, in former times the living conditions in the valley were extremely hard and it was only temporarily settled permanently.
In Foroglio there is a little tourist infrastructure because of the picturesque scenery in front of the waterfall. And the restaurant La Froda really needs no advertising, too nice sitting on the terrace, not to mention the food ... lafroda.ch/de

Ticino is rich in waterfalls. The most spectacular is that of Foroglio in the Bavonatal (upper Maggiatal). The water rushes down from a height of 110 meters and offers a great spectacle with its foaming and spraying. Very picturesque is also the village, with its houses, which flock around the little church and remind of the life of the past generations, who here grazed the cattle and only stayed from spring to autumn in the Bavona valley.
