Seßlach is arguably the jewel of the Coburg district. It is not for nothing that it is called Rothenburg in Upper Franconia. The medieval town with its city walls and gate towers comes very close to the original in Middle Franconia. The idyllic cityscape has served repeatedly as a film set in recent years, for example in the film about the reformer Martin Luther or in 2005 in a film adaptation of the children's book "Der Räuber Hotzenplotz".

Sesslach is preserved by a fully preserved city wall with three gates that will be closed at the weekend. Then it is only on foot through the city and visitors enjoy undisturbed the medieval flair.

Seßlach has an exceptionally well-preserved medieval townscape. The walk through the village is therefore all the more fun. The old facades look really nice.
The cozy Christmas market during Advent is a real highlight and can only be recommended.
