Once the Schleifgraben, named after the newspaper publisher and longtime chairman of the AEV since 1971, the Curt-Frenzel-Stadion (CFS) is today one of the most well-known hockey venues in Germany.

The traditional location was upgraded in 2010 by a fundamental stadium renovation innovative. The last not fully enclosed DEL stadium has become an energy showcase building with a high level of customer friendliness, which has retained the incomparable atmosphere. The striking design of the roof and façade has created a new Augsburg landmark.

Not only the environment, but also the relation to the home region played a central role in the implementation of the technical innovations. In the process, energy experts and companies from the region played a major role.

Spectator capacity: 6,139 seats, of which 3,493 standing and 2,027 seats
