    Beautiful view over the surrounding heathland. During the week it is wonderfully quiet here. If you go for a walk here at the end of the summer (from about mid-August to the beginning of September) you will be treated to a purple explosion of color.

      A good starting point for a hike in this diverse area. Those looking for something a little quieter can head to one of the many other hiking parking lots in the area.

      Update: Due to overcrowding, especially on weekends, most of the parking lots along the road have been closed. In summer, driving towards Rozendaal from here is also prohibited, which is actually a good thing.

                From the Posbank vantage point you have a fatal view over the hilly heathland. From here it goes (to the heather blossom) directly on hiking and cycling paths through the pink landscape. The parking lot and a restaurant are only a few meters away. I was here on a Monday and unfortunately it was already quite busy. Towards evening, when the sun goes down, fewer people are out and about.

                  This is most crowded view point. Too much traffic. There are so many other spots where you have fantastic views over the (purple) hills.

                              There is a great hilly heathland around the Posbank Pavilion. In the southern part mostly sheep graze, in the northern parts, which are more wooded, there are highlanders who like to lie in the middle of the path.

                                            Posbank-the name of an approximately 90 meter high vantage point in the Veluwezoom National Park, municipality of Rheden, province of Gelderland.
                                            Super nice panoramic view 🎨📸

                                            Can get crowded on weekends/holidays...
                                            Many hiking routes available here.
