The Plessenteich is a renatured quarry lake near Gerlenhofen, which has developed into an important breeding and resting area for endangered bird species under the care of the local nature conservation group "Gerlenhofener Working Group on Environmental Protection" (GAU). Good and very helpful signage at the observation posts.
