        The Wickrathberg church is a listed Protestant uniate [1] church in Mönchengladbach Wickrathberg district. The church is considered both the best preserved church building on the left Lower Rhine and the oldest church in Mönchengladbacher urban area. The church was consecrated to Saint Nicholas around the year 1200, reformed in the second half of the 16th century and raised in 1569 to the house church of the Counts of Quadt. After the reconstruction of Wickrath Castle, the building was given a prestigious refurbishment. The rococo decoration from the 1770s represents a treasure on the Lower Rhine (region) because of its completeness. Until the Second World War, the parish was reformed, as a result of Zuzug the confession is now uniert.
