The vantage point is on the Westerwaldsteig from or to the Weißenfelser Ley. You have to make a short detour to the bank. The view is even better here - more Wiedtal, less campsite in view.

"Barely 50 kilometers south-east of Bonn, near Neustadt/Wied, is the Weißenfelser Ley vantage point in the Westerwald (👉a little further south ❗️)
The hiker comes on the WesterwaldSteig from Strauscheid or Waldbreitbach (stage 15) to the Weißenfelser Ley to enjoy the beautiful view. There is also a small circular hiking trail from Roßbach that also leads past here. Otherwise, this stage of the WesterwaldSteig offers a lot of things worth seeing, for example an educational trail and a deer park. Another beautiful vantage point on the way is the Roßbacher Häubchen. There is also an old oil mill in Waldbreitbach and at Christmas time there is an extensive nativity scene exhibition and the world's largest natural root nativity scene in the Catholic Church."
