The church square at St. Johannis Church is called "Haller Herz" because of its oval and tapering shape. Historic half-timbered houses completely enclose the square around the church. The square can only be reached via narrow passages. A wonderful place in the middle of Halle There is also the Museum of Childhood and Youth Works and some nice restaurants.
