Luberegg Castle is located in St. Georgen near Emmersdorf in the district of Melk in Lower Austria on the left bank of the Danube. The plant, built around 1780 by Joseph Weber von Fürnberg, initially served as a woodpile and post office, then as the seat of various state institutions. Emperor Franz II used Luberegg temporarily as a summer residence. More recently, a museum was set up in Luberegg and parts of the facility have been used as a hotel and inn.
