A really nice section that lives up to the name part “green”. Coming from the north we drive through a forest, then we go on a path paved with mats through the fields (a little up and down, but you can get some momentum). Then between two horse paddocks through back into the forest.

The "Green Eight" is a 42 km long cycle path in both directions, largely well signposted, in the urban area of Castrop-Rauxel.
There is a northern and southern part with an east-west cross connection. This results in the shape of the eight.
As a total circular route, without the approximately 6 km long cross-connection between Deininghausen and Bladenhorst, it is approximately 36 km long. The cross connection results in two circular routes, each around 24 km in length.
Signposted detours to interesting destinations in the area allow many variations of the route.
