Since its construction in the 12th century, the town tower in Windsbach served as a watchtower. The Turmbläser should warn the population of approaching troops or fires. The tower was inhabited for a long time and was lovingly restored after the departure of the last family by the club Altstadtfreunde "The Kestrels".
