The pig fountain in Zons is certainly one of the must-see attractions in the old town. Admittedly, it doesn't actually come from the Middle Ages, but from 1959 and was created by the sculptor Bernhard Lohf. The pig fountain takes up the historical occurrence of the so-called "Zons pig feud" from the year 1575/1577, in which soldiers of the then Cologne Archbishop Salentin von Isenburg stole the Zons pig herd, consisting of 50 pigs.
