Absolute architectural highlight in Vienna! The church, built by Otto Wagner between 1904 and 1907, is considered to be the first modern church in Europe. The universal genius Otto Wagner also designed most of the interior furnishings.
The huge cupola made of copper plates and the golden ornaments are real eye-catchers. The church supervises the wide area of Baumgartner Höhe, the social medical center of the city of Vienna.

The church at Steinhof (also: Church of St. Leopold) was built from 1904 to 1907 according to designs by Otto Wagner and is considered one of the most important buildings of the Viennese Art Nouveau. The Roman Catholic church building is located on the grounds of the "Baumgartner Höhe social medicine center" in Vienna's 14th district, Penzing; the center has been called the Penzing Clinic since 2020.
