      The hut is a restaurant. There is a nice quote:

      The Anholter Switzerland without this hut would not be the Anholter Switzerland. A great visit!

        During the English garden movement, Prince Leopold zu Salm-Salm built a replica of Lake Lucerne with the Swiss house and rock landscape in 1893 in memory of his honeymoon. Rock and wood were transported by ship and horse cart from Switzerland to the Lower Rhine. On the occasion of its 100th anniversary, this listed English garden has been expanded to a 56 hectare biotope game park. Here you will find 6 km of well-navigable paths in typical Lower Rhine and Münsterland landscapes and biotopes, spacious large aviaries, animal enclosures and a bear forest.

              The cottage is an absolute must.

                            The landscape and wildlife park is beautiful! Definitely worth a visit. Great paths and the highlight is the "Swiss House" with a view of the lake. Here the break after the hike is a dream with a view of the rock face with a waterfall.
