Schwerte's car-free pedestrian zone mainly branches off the triangle formed by Hüsingstr, Mährstr, and Teichstr, and continues across the other side of Hagener Str into the City Center and Market square. Further shopping areas extend along both sides of Bahnhof Str and spill into the neighboring streets.

Schwerte's pedestrian zone combines a wide variety of shops and, thanks to the car-free inner city area, invites you to relax and explore. Due to war damage, the buildings are also from very different times and so buildings of different heights quickly alternate with each other.
