According to legend, the schoolboy in the fountain scene is said to have been a hot-headed "Schusserbou" (shot boy, marble player). After school, he and his classmates used to regularly shoot, i.e. play marbles, in the schoolyard at Lorenzer Platz. He cheated as it went and it just occurred to him. When his friends asked him about it, he denied any cheating and reaffirmed his innocence with the words: "If it's not true, the devil should take me!"
