With 1,363 meters above sea level, the Hohneck is the third highest peak in the Vosges. It is also one of the most iconic, and perhaps the most beloved. Next to the Route des Crêtes, it is the ideal starting point for family hikes.

The view it offers is simply splendid. It magnificently dominates the lake of Schiessrothried, the slope being very abrupt in this place. A real postcard landscape perfectly representing the Vosges mountains.

Super nice view around the summit, which can also be climbed from several sides. Sturdy shoes are a must and warm clothing as well, because despite the warm temperatures the wind is very cold up there.

Perfect starting point for a long or a short hike. We started here a hike of 80 km and ended back up the Hohneck.

At Hohneck you are able to park your car, have a drink at the restaurant of just take a stop to enjoy the view.

Hohneck, summit with fantastic panoramic view over the Rhine plain up to Alpen.Restaurant with parking, located directly on the GR5 hiking trail. For day trips with enjoying the view just as suitable as a starting point or stopover of short of the long hikes.

Am Hoheneck is in good weather a lot going on, as well as for families and wheelchair users, is always nice and offers very nice panorama.

Hello hikers, the view is terrific. Up to the Donon in the north and the east of the Black Forest. On the descent to Lac Schiessroth we saw chamois in the snowfields. The path goes through a fairytale forest, past rocks to the lake.
