The source of the Partnach, referred to by literature and the yellow signs in the area as "Partnachursprung", is here at 1440m above sea level, approx. 15 minutes from the Reintalangerhütte. The Partnach water emerges directly from the rock after it seeped through the karst rock from the Schneeerner, which is around 1000m higher. So the Partnach creates a first small gorge here. A walk up to the source is worthwhile. In addition, from here you have a wonderful view down into the Reintal.
Crystal clear, turquoise water shoots out of the mountain floor. You can descend to the pool (not on rainy days!). The short detour here is worth it :-)
