There are legends of Sylt like sand on the sea. Stories of unshakable love, of pirates from Sylt and brave freedom fighters. The loyal Ose, the dwarf kings, the egg thief Finn, the merman Ekke Nekkepen - all these creatures got a rustic dwelling in the Sylt legend forest. Children can let off steam in the shade of the trees on the high-quality wooden play equipment. Boards next to each play station provide the thematic classification: the respective legend in black and white. During the holiday season, the Sylt author Frank Deppe offers guided tours through the Sylt legend forest. He lets the legends come to life and also provides all kinds of interesting facts about Sylt's past.

In the forest behind the Wenningstedt campsite, a natural Sylt legend forest was created, in which children and adults can deal with the various legends in terms of content and play.
