Bann forests are the most beautiful forests that exist: they are as they used to be, nature takes and gives what it needs. Wild, primeval, beautiful - but I have a blame: I have noticed some prohibition signs. I think they do not fit in such an area.

Very beautiful forest full of hiking trails.
Banned forests are forest protection areas that have been placed under protection under the Forest Protection Act of Baden-Württemberg. Maintenance measures or the removal of accumulating wood are not permitted in the forest reserves that have been left to their own devices. Only in the case of pest infestation or natural disasters are control measures permitted after approval. Wood and logs that fall on paths and trees that are felled for safety reasons may be cleared away but must remain in the forest.
A trip around the Feldsee combined with a visit to the Raimartihof is particularly recommended in this area.
