If you could compare masterpieces of nature with art, then the Serrai Sottoguda gorge would undoubtedly be on a par with da Vinci, van Gogh or Picasso. Crossing the approximately 2 km long canyon that connects the two towns of Sottoguda and Malaga Ciapela, you will not be amazed. Eternally long rock walls, where waterfalls fall steeply into the void, rise up. Especially in winter, the UNESCO heritage attracts many ice climbers who dared to head to heaven. If you happen to have your skis with you, you can also board the unforgettable track down to Sottoguda; past the frozen gorge and waterfalls. Certainly the most exciting place in the Dolomites!

Unfortunately this path is closed due to "Vaia" storm of the 2018..Recovery has already started

Update August 2020: Gorge is still closed. We got through with shoes out and through the river several times, but it takes time ;)
There is probably a hiking trail north of the road, other hikers have told me it's better to go that way
