Lake Roumassot is the lowest of the Ayous lakes. This natural lake of glacial origin is located at an altitude of 1,845 meters and serves as a summer pasture for the herds of the Ossau valley. The presence of horses and cows adds an authentic touch to the painting.

When it seemed that the route from Astún had come to an end, you realize that there is still another super-beautiful lake, the Roumassot, it is worth the last descent (and then ascent).
