The community of Bad Wiessee on the west bank has always stood for the healing effect of nature on people. In 1441, legend has it, a monk found an oil spring whose balsamic effect went down in history as "rock oil from Tegernsee". Almost 500 years later, the Dutchman Adrian Stoop, in his search for black gold, discovered the healing water from Bad Wiessee, which turned out to be the strongest iodine-sulphur spring in Germany.

Super nice place, great promenade, direct opportunity for swimming, boating and enjoying. Starting point for great hikes. Not overrun. Parking tickets affordable.
