Today Vondern Castle presents itself as a proud, small moated castle with a partially dried-out moat that is worth a detour.

Behind it is the courtyard with the adjoining coach house, which was opened in 2006 as a modernized event building. On the east side, there is the manor house, which was once separated from the castle courtyard by a moat and connected to it by a bridge.
