The “emblem” villa of Dinard was built between 1893 and 1896 by the developer Auguste Poussineau for his brother, the Parisian fashion designer Émile Poussineau, known as “Félix”.

It stands on a steep hillside at the end of Pointe de la Malouine, a famous luxury landscaped housing estate from the Belle Époque. In keeping with the ambient eclecticism of the late 19th century, its neo-Louis XIII style and its opening onto the coastline faithfully reflect the principles of seaside architecture.
Its location on a promontory site responds to the aspirations of the aristocracy of the time for social representation.
In 2007, the owner of this exceptional property, Paul Braud, made a bequest to the people of Dinard, thus laying the first stone of an ambitious and generous project. This villa which until now sheltered the destiny of a family will become a place open to all by offering conferences, concerts, exhibitions or educational workshops for the shared knowledge of this jewel of seaside heritage.
The Villa “Les Roches Brunes” was listed as a Historic Monument on June 24, 2014.
