On this section of the Harzer-Hexen-Stieg there is a very nice view of the silver pond. In the middle of the section there is a bench from which you can enjoy the beautiful view.

The Silberteich is an artificial pond on the upper reaches of the Brunnenbach between Braunlage and Sankt Andreasberg in the Harz Mountains in Lower Saxony. Due to its history, it can be counted among the systems of the Oberharz water shelf.
The area around the Silberteich is scenic.

The Silberteich is a beautifully situated small pond near Braunlage, it is in the Naturmythenpfad integrity. Here is also a stamp of the HWN.
Especially recommended for families with children, no special equipment requirements have fun visiting.
Easily accessible from the car park at the Braunlage youth hostel.

The Silberteich is a pond in the Upper Harz that was once created for mining purposes. It is located in the Harz National Park on the upper reaches of the Brunnenbach stream, which has its source south of Königskrug. Surrounded on all sides by forest, the artificial body of water is about two kilometers west of Braunlage town centre.
Originally, the silver pond was called "Brunnenbacher Teich" or "Andreasberger Teich". It was built in the middle of the 18th century. It was used to supply water to the ore mines in the nearby Oder Valley.

The Silberteich is a pond in the Upper Harz that was once created for mining purposes. It is located in the Harz National Park on the upper reaches of the Brunnenbach, which rises south of Königskrug. The artificial body of water, surrounded by forest on all sides, is located about two kilometers west of Braunlage city center.
The silver pond was originally called “Brunnenbacher Teich” or “Andreasberger Teich”. It was built in the middle of the 18th century. It served to supply water to the ore mines in the nearby Oder valley.
