In the left wing of the gatehouse with the blinded windows were the dreaded cells of the "bunker." This was the name of the camp prison, which was always fully occupied from February 1938 to the end: 26 cells to the left and right of the narrow aisle, each 2.05 m long and 1.38 m wide, separately heatable and darkened, with foldable platform and steel door.
