The unique landscape of the Refuge de l'Ortu di u Piobbu is certainly one of the highlights of the GR20. Halfway to the Bocca Piccaia at 1,950 meters, you will also find one last source before the final destination is reached.

The Refugio offers 32 places, rental tents, bivouacs available via the PNRC.

The Refuge offers space for many tents, but it is advisable to arrive in time, especially in the main season. The slightly sloping plain prepares a beautiful view of the mountain scenery from almost every spot. The compost toilets are relatively new and clean. There are unfortunately only limited showers, so you have a little wait to calculate. Following the GR20 a few meters further south, there is also a spring.

All in all, the 'Refuge de l'Ortu di u Piobbu' is a nice introduction to the tour and the beautiful evening view just at the foot of the camping area awakens the anticipation of the coming days. Really a highlight!
