Hundreds of people descend on the black sand beach to view the iconic stone sculptures and pose for pictures in front of the unusual sight. However, local conservationists now claim that the stone towers are damaging the local environment and the animals that use the rocks as their habitat. A local biologist says that these rocks provide a home for living things, such as plant organisms, which are essential for soil health and for insects to thrive. They in turn provide food for reptiles that live under these rocks. If we pile up the rocks, we are taking away their home. That is why they are urging governments to ban the piling.
So let's wait and see what the future holds.
