The Lech is not just any river. It is a totally wild river, north of the Alps, the Lechtal is considered the last wild river landscape. This means that the river is allowed to do what it wants, spread out and give free rein to its water power. Accordingly natural and beautiful it is here. Here there are wide meadows, branched river arms and these characteristic bright gravel banks.
