The Konig Konrad monument is dedicated to the German King Konrad I (911-918), who gave the crown to Henry of Saxony. Built in 1894, the monument stands on the rock Bodenstein above the river Lahn near Villmar.

Konrad is considered the first German king. At his death in Weilburg on December 23, 918, he caused with the Weilburg will his brother Eberhard to renounce the throne and the transfer of royal insignia to the Saxon Duke Henry.

Made of Belgian sandstone, 2.32 meters high statue stands on a pedestal from Lahnmarmor. Originally the monument was surrounded by a wrought-iron lattice. The statue shows the king in the gesture of Kronübergabe. The inscription on the pedestal reads: Konrad I, 911-918, German king and count of the Lahngau transferred in faithful care for the realm security and power dying Heinrich of Saxonia crown and rule. The monument is a symbol of the district and a reference to imperial history in the 19th century.
