The Waldhaus Waidmannsruh was built in the 18th century and was the border station between the Electoral Mainz area and the Electoral Hessian area. The forest house is said to have been the place where Snow White was supposed to be killed by the forester. But the man had a heart and let Snow White escape across the border.
