Hellbrunn Palace is located on the southern outskirts of Salzburg – an extraordinary site with a rich history. Archbishop Markus Sittikus had the pleasure palace built around 1615, inspired by Italian architecture. Its famous features include the water features with their surprising effects and the artfully designed Mechanical Theater. Surrounding the palace is a sprawling park with tree-lined avenues, ponds, and the so-called Monatsschlössl (Monthly Palace).
