The comparatively small Warnker See is advertised in the hiking guides as a paradise for gray geese and ducks. In fact, hundreds, even thousands, of cormorants are waiting for us to spend their days here. They fly in in the morning and populate the trees around the lake. The caustic leftovers are very tough on the environment, but also shape the landscape into something special. Again and again, groups of birds go into the water to hunt fish (it is actually unbelievable that there is still fish left here), while most of them enjoy the sun in the trees and communicate with their neighbors. Tip: take binoculars and / or telephoto lenses with you!

Hide, ideal for watching ducks, herons, divers. Even white-tailed eagles can be watched here with a little luck.
